Project Information

When Four Nine launched Tea at Four, the ambition was not simply to create a podcast, but to build a recognisable piece of intellectual property that could live across platforms and grow with its audience.
Produced and presented by the Four Nine team, the show brings the energy of the group chat into the real world — mixing humour, personal stories and social conversations in a format designed to travel easily across social media.

I led the visual identity and creative direction for the podcast, shaping how the brand translated across artwork, motion assets and social packaging. Working closely with editorial and production teams, the goal was to create a flexible visual system that allowed episodes and clips to move quickly across platforms while maintaining a clear and recognisable identity.

The podcast quickly became one of Four Nine’s most successful in-house projects. Tea at Four reached the #1 spot on Spotify’s podcast charts, generated 80M+ views and 4M engagements, and ranks in the top 5% of Spotify video podcasts. Beyond its performance, the show helped strengthen Four Nine’s position as one of the largest female publishers in the UK, creating culturally relevant conversations and moments that regularly travelled across social platforms and press.

For me, the project reflects the role design plays in modern media: not just branding content, but building the visual systems that allow it to scale, travel and become part of culture.
